Only a couple more weeks until our 2026 ballot goes live. We will be utilizing Google Polls again for our 2026 election. If you are interested in any of the positions below, please email me a short bio by 11/1: anderson.kea@gmail.com. Reminder: gain experience along the way with guidance from current board members — no prior experience needed, just enthusiasm to get involved.
Position | Term Length/Commitment | Responsibilities |
Secretary | 2 years, About four hours per month, including at least 4 board meetings per year. | · Maintain accurate records of chapter meetings, including minutes, agendas, and attendance, to ensure a comprehensive record of discussions, decisions, and action items. · Facilitate communication within the chapter by disseminating relevant information, announcements, and updates to members in a timely manner, utilizing various channels such as email, newsletters, and social media platforms. · Assist in the coordination of chapter events, activities, and initiatives by providing administrative support, organizing logistics, and helping to ensure smooth execution and follow-up. · Maintain all relevant items in the chapter’s Google Drive |
Director at Large - Membership Chair | 2 years, About four hours per month, including at least 4 board meetings per year. | · Organize membership drives and recruitment efforts, actively seeking out potential new members through outreach, events, and networking. · Maintain accurate records of current members and their membership status ensure effective communication and engagement. · Serve as a liaison between the local chapter and its members, addressing inquiries, providing support, and fostering a sense of belonging and participation within the organization. |
Director at Large – Social Media/Web Chair | 2 years, About four hours per month, including at least 4 board meetings per year. | · Responsible for posting on and maintaining the chapter website on the Wix platform, including sending chapter messages and event invitations. · Maintaining the chapter’s Zoom license. · Develop, implement, and maintain a social media strategy for the local chapter, leveraging platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to enhance visibility, engagement, and outreach among target audiences. · Create and curate compelling content for social media channels, including posts, graphics, videos, and stories, that showcase chapter activities, achievements, and initiatives while fostering community interaction and dialogue. |
President-Elect | 2 years, About five hours per month, including at least 4 board meetings per year. | · Actively observe and learn the role of the president. · Assume the absence or resignation of the president, or if the president is otherwise unable to act. · Consult with the president throughout the term of office to provide for continuity and smooth transition of chapter leadership. · Any additional duties, as slated by the chapter (ex: helping with programs, recruitment, etc.) |
